New Vanquish Trailer Debuts...and it looks amazing!

Since I only saw a little bit of Vanquish at E3, I initially had chalked this game up as a “maybe” on my gaming wish list. Actually I will be honest with you and say i know as much about Vanquish as i do about open heart surgery, but I plan to learn all I can about it after this sweet trailer ( the game..not open heart surgery..). Vanquish is being developed by Platinum games, and was created by Resident Evil legend Shinji Mikam. The game is a 3rd person shooter with FPS elements, that has frantic action all over the screen with explosions left right and center. Vanquish has been in production since 2007 so they have had plenty of time to make it as good as it possibly can be.

The story is set in the near future. Russia and the United States are vying for ownership of the world’s fast-depleting energy resources and the US has constructed a space station in order to harness energy from the sun. Apparently the US employ some super soldier in body armor to sort out their problems… Still not sure on a release date as of yet, but Vanquish will be out later in the year for PS3 & Xbox 360.
