![]() From December 1st to March 1st, the PRO ran a recruitement contest within the LOL division. At the close of the contest, we had three winners, with at least 10 (!) rectuits each. In first place came seraphim1 with 21 new recruits, which won him a 35$ TG store credit. In 2nd Place, TG Lidesci with 13 new recruits, won a 3500 Riot Points gift card and in third place, Jo Fonias won a free one year TG sponsorship for his ten recruits. All these guys also got a Oustanding Recruiter Medal to add to their jacket! Hosts of others also participated in the contest netting a lot of new blood for League of Legends and TG. We contacted the winners to ask about their recruiting tactics and here's what they had to say: Seraphim: I personally tired to use a good mixture of posts on the forums and approaching people directly. I tried to offer everybody who had interest a chat and talk to a person. Overall I can say that a personal talk with a interested person makes most fun and brings the weirdes things to daylight sometimes All those new faces I see now in our division are really a fresh breeze. Their motivation and precense makes our division a even more wonderful place. Lidesci: ![]() My main recruitment tactic was simply to hype TG on the League of Legends forum. There are a lot of people looking for a good, mature clan out there. There's a lot of competition on those forums, but for those willing to take the time to see what TG is all about, our community speaks for itself. Another tool I used was talking with people I play with on a regular basis, and managed to get a couple recruits that way. I would have liked to have done more with it, but we got pretty swamped with new members, and weren't in a position to handle it at the time, so I backed off. I'm glad to have been such a big help to my division though, and out of my recruits actually made some friends who matter more than the prizes offered in the contest. Jo Fonias: Unfortunatly we did not get a response from Mr Fonias at this time. It is great to see our numbers swelling and we would like to thank everyone who gave their time and participated in this awesome event. Great job guys! |
